TraceRoute: This is detailed information about your connection to our services, which allows us to identify any common stalling points. To get the information required, please follow the troubleshooting steps below, there is a posting template at the bottom of the article: Understanding what is within our control We do our best to provide access to all mods for users all over the world, however, we are sometimes hampered by conditions beyond our control. The sense checks Before we get into the more advanced troubleshooting, it's important to cover the simple problems we often encounter which can be fixed with relative ease. Downloads don't start: You should consult our " Troubleshooting website issues " page. This is normally caused by a browser addon or privacy settings. Make sure you stop any other downloads: We often find that users report issues while Steam is downloading a 40GB update in the background, which is hogging all your bandwidth.
This can also happen with Windows Update and any other software which automatically downloads content. Update your mod manager: If you're downloading with a mod manager, please ensure you have the latest version. You should also try and download files manually to see if the problem is exclusive to the mod manager, in these cases it may be more useful to seek support with your chosen application. If you're still having problems, continue to the steps below. Server Tests In this section, we'll be checking your maximum connection speed to each of our server locations. Asked by Lanyon , January 29, I just decided to do another epic Skyrim install after a long hiatus. This is my first time trying to use MO , but not my first time using STEP. I've followed the first steps of the STEP guide to a tee. Fresh vanilla installation and everything. MO appears to have installed perfectly fine, except that for the life of me it won't download anything from the nexus. I have the paths all set up properly, I have my Nexus account properly associated, I clicked the globe icon to bring up the nexus webpage in Firefox but whenever I click on the Download with Manager link for a mod, absolutely nothing happens. No error message, nothing. Has anyone else had a similar problem? Any ideas how to get it fixed? I was just going to go for manual downloads but then i saw a thread on these forums about how that may be a bad idea because it forces MO to try to identify the mod by it's name only since it wasn't downloaded with all the appropriate metadata, which could lead to problems further down the road.
Any help would be much appreciated! I use manual downloads most of the time because their speed tends to be faster and also downloads via MO often won't start which is a nexus server issue. Manual downloading is not a problem at all. Only difference is to retrieve the version info really, but you can easily add that in yourself. Why your download buttons don't work though, I can't say, you seem to have taken all the necessary steps. There's an executable in the mod organizer directory that handles the download links for nexus. I believe it's NXM-something. It's the only other. exe in the directory. If you run it, you should see it has a mapping for mod organizer and the downloads directory, and there's a button you can press to make it register.
However, when i click "Download with Nexus Mod Manager" on the site, it just says that The site was not understood and that it needs a software to continue. I don't have NMM. Do i really need it to also be able to download for MO? It works fine for Gopher. It instantly downloads them and thats it. I am also using Firefox and i completely disabled NoScript and i already checked the Allow Nexus Links in the installer for MO and the mod i am trying to install is RaceMenu although, it gave me the same error with every other mod EDIT: I can download the mod files manually in Nexus and then install them with MO through the archives but i still want the easier way. From Workarounds, add NMM version that MO emulates to up to date version of NMM: 0.
Run nxmhandler.

If it's not set properly it'll just appear like nothing happened. That's what happened to me after I moved MO 's directory - rerunning the executable and fixing it made it work fine.
Give it a shot. To the right, you will see the action is probably set to "Always Ask. Most likely your browser is interfering. In Firefox, do this: 1. Open Options and go to Applications 2. Scroll until you see nxm under content type 3. Click OK 5. Report back. Thanks, guys - I had to go through both of these steps to get MO to download from the Nexus in a vain attempt to get through the tutorial, which is broken but at least the functionality is now there.
